NEW YORK – When American singer-actress Cher took the stage late in the

Grammy Awards ceremony on the night of Feb 1

, the show had largely proceeded without a hitch.

American singer-songwriter Alex Warren had a few technical difficulties during his performance of Ordinary and the TV censors missed an expletive during a speech by English musician Lola Young. Still, the night on the whole had felt effortless.
